VP/Architect, Technology (Drupal/Acquia)

As Vice President/Architect of Technology, you’ ll manage technical costs, resource requirements and project phases for team projects. You’ ll define and promote technical best practices, standards and technical strategies within your engineering teams. Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead technical design and implementation of Acquia / Drupal solutions in an Enterprise setting
  • Creating technical design documents
  • Adhering to business, functional and technical requirements
  • Effectively utilizing architecture diagrams, data schemas and use cases
  • Being well-versed in all phases of web engineering and all methodologies for project utilization
  • Assist in performing deployments via continuous integration
  • Leading project life cycle maintenance
  • Facilitating technical discussions with senior level clients
  • Mentoring all engineering staff and developing the team’ s technical skills
  • Working with other divisions to provide technical direction and efficiency
  • Proposing and supporting incorporation of new technology
  • Testing new ideas/products for applicability to project goals
  • Participating in new business pitches
  • Helping to review and evaluate technical partnerships and vendor relationships

We’ re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:
  • A four-year degree and 10 to 12 years of web application development experience, including 2 to 4 years of complex web application architecture and design (preferably at a creative agency)
  • Experience building and deploying Acquia, Acquia Commerce, Drupal and/or PHP based web solutions
  • Deep familiarity with the digital environment and eCommerce
  • Experience building 3rd party integrations using web services
  • Experience in legacy systems integration
  • Experience in designing and building cloud based infrastructures on AWS
  • Proven success as a technical team member
  • Solid grasp of web solutions utilizing a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Experience with enterprise workflow, personalization, messaging architectures and content management
  • Fluency with system security within various platforms including Unix and Windows, SSL certificates, single sign-on, data encryption and role-based authorization
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of vendor negotiations and vendor evaluations geared towards technical evaluation of software and organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – you’ re clear, convincing and great with clients
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Nice to have: past experience integrating with the following: Kibo / Shopatron, integrating JD Edwards, and Stibo Systems PIM
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
