Sr. Business Analyst - Oracle Value Chain Planning

We are seeking a  Sr. Business Analyst to our client' s corporate headquarters team supporting their Oracle Value Chain Planning tool.   The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with our business team and stakeholders to define business requirements that deliver key features and capabilities supporting the business strategy as well as supporting existing systems and processes.   They will work closely with the Project team to ensure the requirements are understood and delivered. 

  • Work with business stakeholders and identify areas of impact
  • Provide the process and leadership around defining and delivering business requirements
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Conduct impact analysis of business requirements on existing technology platform, present findings and facilitate solutions
  • Perform gap analysis on technology solutions, process and organization/resources
  • Create business requirements documents such as user stories, use cases, workflow diagrams, traceability matrixes, dataflow diagrams
  • Work with Software Development and Technical Services Groups on the technical design and development process ensuring business requirements are understood and delivered
  • Present business designs
  • Work with quality team on the development of testing deliverables
  • Participate in validation of the business design against the delivered software.
  • Work with software vendors to help develop systems
  • Coordinating User Testing
  • Work with Change Management team in development of training and rollout
  • Provide business support for Oracle Value Chain Planning tools: Demantra, ASCP, and APCC
  • Responsible for overseeing the integration of VCP-Legacy purchasing and other auxiliary supply chain related applications
  • Responsible for defining job scheduling end monitoring requirements for VCP Supply Chain related jobs
  • Knowledgeable of the technical environment and operating requirements for VCP related support applications
  • Understand the impacts and tradeoffs when working with ASCP.   Includes understanding exceptions and actions to resolve as well as plan options in support of business requirements.  
  • Understand core data used in ASCP processes and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Understand Forecasting business processes and Demantra Demand Management including configuration of workflow, security, roles and methods and procedures.
  • Manage Supply Chain team members' adherence of standard processes, maintenance of quality and performance to service levels and schedule.
  • Status reporting

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s degree,  concentration in computer science or information systems or commensurate work experience.
  • 3-5 years Business Analyst experience, preferably in the area of Oracle Value Chain Planning (Demantra, ASPC, APCC) or other inventory management functions.  Should have in-depth functional understanding of ASCP and Demantra modules with basic technical knowledge about applications and database related to these applications. Skilled in Demand Planning, good understanding of Supply Chain Planning, and fair understanding of Oracle Value Chain Planning process flows and best practices is essential.  Will consider a strong Business Analyst without Oracle VCP experience.
  • Some experience with SQL. Experience with data mapping, migration, and reporting a plus.
  • Development experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills, ability to lead and work with teams, and ability to keep on schedule in development environment.
  • Experience with Business Process Modeling, a plus.
  • Ability to learn on the go with a positive attitude.
