Under the general guidance of the area IT Manager, the Business Systems Analyst will provide a high level of functional and business process expertise in the research, development and support of key technology areas within our client’ s businesses. This position is typically the third level of business systems analyst and represents a very high level of individual professional contribution.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical, functional and process support for assigned applications and business lines.
  • Troubleshoots, supports and maintains software applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Installs and configures applications.
  • Acts as a liaison with vendors and consultants to address support activities
  • Develops documentation and communications to improve the use and availability of applications
  • Provides expert level support and maintenance of core software functionality and technology components.
  • Provides expert knowledge of business line process flows and procedures to junior analysts.
  • Assists and mentors junior analysts in resolving the more complex technical issues.
  • Maintains a shareable library of system documentation and practices.
  • Up to 40% travel may be required.
  • Required to be on-call when assigned.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Specialized knowledge required for this position:
  • A high level of expertise in the core business applications and technologies supported by the NAM Material Operations Systems group.
  • Expert knowledge in critical business systems used to support the operational needs of the business such as COMMANDseries and Command Alkon products, batch systems, Trimble, TrackIt and TMT Transman
  • Detailed knowledge of business organization, processes and procedures in Lehigh Hanson’ s Ready Mix Concrete operations.
  • Expert knowledge in critical business systems used to support the operational needs of the business such as BO Application, FO Applications, BI, Infrastructure, Administration, Production Control, Country Operations, Security and/or Geographic).
  • Proven ability to mentor people and deliver results, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, testing and quality assurance techniques.
  • Proficient in development of documentation to support functional specifications, data flows, etc.
  • Keen interest in new technologies and have the vision to identify opportunities for improving business processes.
  • Proficient use MS Office, Project and Visio.

Experience and/or education required:
  • University degree in related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with the construction materials industry.
  • Certified Project Management accreditation is preferred.
